How Do I Register My Domain Name?
To register your domain name, you need to visit a domain name registrar and search for your most preferred choice from the list you generated earlier. If your first name is taken, search for web address you’ve listed underneath the previous one, until you find an address that has not yet been registered. Once you’ve hit web address gold, you then purchase that domain name for a number of years.
Which Domain Name Extension Should I Choose?
This is another question I get asked a lot too. Should I go for a .co.uk or .com, a .org or .eu?
The rule of thumb I’ve used with clients is that if you know your customers or clients will only ever be UK-based, try to get a .co.uk. If you, say you are shop owner looking to sell across the globe – then try and get the .com or .co extension of a web address.
